Vocabulary

Trash: our garbage—all the things we throw away.Litter: trash in the wrong place (ground, street).


Reuse: find a new use instead of throwing away.


Reduce: buy less and throw away less.


Natural Resources: materials found in nature needed to live.

Landfill: place where trash is buried.


Recycling: making something new from something old.


Paper: recyclable material made from trees.


Reject: stop buying non-recyclable packaging.


Compost: decomposed leaves/grass used for soil.
